FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Salt Lake City – Mayor Ralph Becker and his staff will kick off the “Mayor’s Road Trip” through Salt Lake City tonight with a visit to Salt Lake City’s Capital Hill neighborhood. The purpose of the Mayor’s Road Trip is to give each of the 21 Community Councils in Salt Lake City’s neighborhoods the opportunity to show Mayor Becker everything they’re proud of and to let him know what they need to improve their communities.
The Mayor will spend an evening with each Community Council, participating in whatever that council decides to have the Mayor do while in the neighborhood. The Mayor’s Road Trip idea is an outgrowth of the campaign promise that Mayor Becker made to be open and accessible as Mayor and to focus on the City at the neighborhood level.
